Driveways, Pool Decks, Patios & Travertine

Every install gets the same foundation: proper excavation, compacted base rock in lifts, edge restraints, and polymeric sand — the parts you can't see are the parts that decide whether pavers last 5 years or 50.

Paver Driveways

Full tear-out to final compaction: existing surface removed, base rock compacted in lifts for Cape Coral's sandy fill, concrete edge restraints, and pavers that can be lifted and reset instead of ever being 'replaced'. Built to carry vehicles for 25–50+ years.

Paver Pool Decks

Pool surrounds that stay cool underfoot and drain away from the pool shell. We handle coping transitions, proper slope, and slip-conscious material choices — travertine is the SW Florida favorite here for a reason.

Paver Patios & Walkways

Backyard patios, front entries, and garden paths — designed together with your beds and lighting so the hardscape looks intentional. Every qualifying project includes a free photorealistic 3D design before we build.

Travertine

Natural stone that runs noticeably cooler than concrete pavers in July sun, resists mold, and reads unmistakably high-end. Travertine costs more per square foot in material, which your written quote itemizes — the install workmanship rate stays the same.

Built for Southwest Florida Ground

Cape Coral and most of coastal SW Florida sit on sandy fill that drains fast and settles unevenly. A paver job here lives or dies on base preparation — we excavate to depth, compact base rock in lifts, and set concrete edge restraints so summer deluges can't wash the field out from under your driveway.

On canal lots, drainage direction matters as much as compaction: hardscape has to pitch water away from the seawall, not into it. And because pavers are a unit system, the inevitable settling spot years from now is a lift-and-reset repair, not a jackhammer job.

Driveway and right-of-way work is permitted through your city or county — we pull the permit and meet the inspector, so the paperwork is our problem, not yours. Working in Cape Coral? Read our Cape Coral paver guide — permitting, canal-lot drainage, and the styles your neighbors are choosing.

Want city-specific numbers with worked examples? We publish 2026 cost breakdowns for Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, and Bonita Springs — driveway, pool deck, and patio math at the same published rates.

And once the pavers are down, sealing is the maintenance that keeps them looking installed-last-year: our guides to paver sealing cost in Cape Coral and how often to reseal in Florida cover the schedule and the honest numbers.

Paver Pricing & Installation — FAQ

How much do pavers cost installed in SW Florida?

Our published rate is $8 per square foot installed for standard running-bond and stacked patterns, and $9 per square foot for complex layouts like herringbone, fan patterns, multi-band borders, and tight curves. Removing an existing concrete slab or old pavers adds $1 per square foot including haul-away. Material upgrades like travertine are itemized separately on your written quote. Small projects carry a $2,500 project minimum — a crew, equipment, and base material have to mobilize no matter the size.

Why do you publish your paver prices when no other contractor does?

Because hiding the number wastes your time and ours. Most paver quotes in SW Florida are made up on the spot based on what the estimator thinks you'll pay. Our rate is the same for every customer, it's in writing before we start, and the free 3D design shows you exactly what you're getting for it.

Do I need a permit for a paver driveway in Cape Coral?

Usually yes — the City of Cape Coral requires a permit for driveway work, and anything touching the right-of-way or the apron gets reviewed. Lee County and other SW Florida municipalities have their own rules. We pull the permits and handle the inspections as part of the job, so you never deal with the city counter.

What's better in Florida — pavers or a poured concrete slab?

For driveways and pool decks, pavers win on repairability: when SW Florida's sandy soil settles (and it does), individual pavers are lifted and reset in an afternoon. A cracked slab is a demolition job. Pavers also handle our heat cycles better and offer far more design options. Slabs are cheaper up front; pavers are cheaper over 25 years.

How long does a paver installation take?

A typical crew lays roughly 300 square feet per day once base prep is done. A 400 sq ft patio is usually a 2–3 day job including excavation and compaction; a full driveway with tear-out generally runs about a week. Your written quote includes the schedule.
