Common questions
What is the fastest growing privacy hedge in Florida?+
Sweet viburnum, clusia and areca palm are the usual picks for fast screening in SW Florida, and clumping bamboo is faster still. Clusia is the most salt tolerant of the group, which is why it is so common on canal lots.
How far apart should hedge plants be planted?+
It depends on the plant and the container size. Most 3 and 7 gallon hedge material goes in about 2 to 3 feet on center, and larger 15 and 25 gallon plants about 3 to 4 feet apart. Each plant page lists the spacing we use.
How do I get a price on a hedge?+
Send the plant, the size and roughly how many feet of hedge you need, and we text back a planted price, usually within the hour during the day. Our hedges page also lists the planted rates for the most common hedge sizes.
Doing the install as part of a bigger job? See hedge and privacy screen installation and our planted hedge rates.
